Actions for climate governance in Bolivia

  • Support to decision-makers and legislators in Latin American countries.
  • Support to adaptation in Andean montane ecosystems.
  • Monitoring and progress in the implementation of the NDC (action in the 18 countries).
  • Support to dialogue among head climate change negotiators in Latin America and the Caribbean (action in the 18 countries).
  • Strengthening of monitoring and evaluation systems for climate policies (mitigation and adaptation) under the Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda (action in the 18 countries).
  • Working group on the harmonisation of adaptation metrics (action in the 18 countries).
  • Generate an incremental dialogue process between peers that begins by strengthening the national processes developed by Bolivia and Peru to promote exchanges between the two, and that projects a regional impact linked to the regional process carried out by the Fund for the Development of the Indigenous Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean (FILAC) (exchanges between Bolivia, Peru and Panama).
  • Further explore and operationalise criteria for Climate Justice from the Bolivian perspective through the development of instruments for reporting on the first NDC and the construction of guidelines for the second (exchanges between Bolivia and Spain).

In each country, EUROCLIMA+ works in synergy with officials of the governmental entity in charge of overseeing climate change matters. It also maintains close contact with the European Union delegations of each partner nation.
