Objective

To share three examples of projects supported by EUROCLIMA+ to promote resilient food production in the context of the Nationally Determined Contributions to the Paris Agreement, highlighting how they take up the recommendations of the latest IPCC special report 2019 "Climate Change and Land".

Presentation

The EUROCLIMA+ programme supports capacity building of Latin American countries to achieve their NDCs. The most relevant recommendations of the recent IPCC Special Report (2019) "Climate Change and Land" are being applied in several projects funded by the program in the resilient food production sector. They seek to scale up good practices to achieve the respective countries' Nationally Determined Contributions to the Paris Agreement. The event begins with a brief summary of the report's key recommendations to identify the implications of climate change on the sector. Representatives of the implementing organizations present projects that are already implementing some of the recommendations of the report.
