Objective

In order to enhance and scale the work done individually, the main objective of the event is to the exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices between the networks of municipalities and sub-national governments attending the meeting, leading to the identification of articulation and partnership opportunities.

Presentation

The Argentinean Network of Municipalities against Climate Change (RAMCC), with the support of EUROCLIMA+, will hold a meeting for networks of municipalities and sub-national governments from different countries. Each organization (which will be added to the program based on confirmations) will present its experiences, opportunities, lessons learned, challenges and barriers within the framework of local climate action. In the case of Argentina, the executive director of RAMCC, Ricardo Bertolino, will present the advances made by the Argentinean Network: Development of Greenhouse Gases Inventories and the first Local Climate Action Plans of Latin America under the Global Covenant of Mayors; climate financing through Euroclima+, Green Climate Fund and the first Argentine Local Government Trust for the financing of climate projects; coordination, both with the private sector, through the Corporate Carbon Footprint, as with citizens and young local leaders, through training and programs such as Erasmus+.
