Farmers in the municipality of Acasio reinforce concepts of "Adaptation to Climate Change".

The project of the EUROCLIMA+ RFP sector "Resilient Production, Marketing

and Consumption of Cañahua and Tarwi" has carried out workshops with farmers (Local Innovators) to reinforce concepts of "Adaptation to Climate Change".

Central America, January 10 - Climate change has increased the onslaught of drought, hailstorms, frost, as well as pests and diseases, on the main crops of the municipality of Acasio. Farmers require timely and efficient responses to reduce risks in agricultural production based on the recognition of their vulnerabilities.

In this context, the "Resilient Production, Marketing and Consumption of Cañahua and Tarwi" project, financed by the European Union, led by Swisscontact and implemented in Bolivia by the PROINPA Foundation, has carried out workshops with farmers (Local Innovators) to reinforce concepts of "Adaptation to Climate Change" and Best Resilient Agricultural Practices in their communities.
