In order to respond to questions about how to put the issue of climate change on the public agenda in order to align policies and consumerism with what science asks of us, during COP25 the dialogue space “Journalism for climate action: challenges and opportunities for the media,” The event is expected to generate reflection on the role and opportunity for journalism to become an agent of change and promoter of climate action, continuously addressing the issue of climate change with rigor and quality.
Specialists from Latin America and Europe will participate in the event, including Arturo Larena Larena, director of EFE VERDE, who will share with journalists the experience of one of Europe’s main information platforms, a pioneer that specialises in environmental journalism.
The COP25 in Spain is a crucial moment to promote global climate action and commitment at the level of all actors in society. The time is now, and journalists and communicators have a fundamental role in promoting this process.
