The “Ibero-American Forum on Communication and Climate Change” seeks to create a multisectoral space open to journalists and communicators from all over Latin America to exchange experiences and good practices on issues related to climate change. In this sense, this forum is a great opportunity to add the support of the media in the climate process that is taking place towards COP26.
FORUM ON SEPTEMBER 10 (EACH DAY WILL BE ORGANIZED IN TWO PARTS)
PART ONE - CONVERSATORY
September 8: Climate action in Latin America and roadmap to COP26
- Patricia Espinosa, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
- Carolina Schmidt, Minister of the Environment of Chile and COP25 President
The panelists will make a general introduction of five minutes, to later answer the questions of the journalists. The discussion will last one hour and registered journalists will participate.
PART TWO - WORKSHOPS
The second part of the forum will be an exchange workshop between journalists and experts to address communication trends and new formats. Specifically, experiences of the topics to be discussed will be exposed: September 10: Tools to narrate climate action: audiovisual production and podcast
